Saint James Paris

Saint James Paris became a member of Relais & Châteaux in 2012, following an extensive renovation the year before, and I was excited to see how it would be.
As the only château hotel in Paris and with just 48 rooms, Saint James is one of the most intimate and exclusive luxury properties in the city. My experience began with a warm, personalised welcome before being escorted to my room—a stunning Junior Suite. The suite featured elegant blue walls, a supremely comfortable bed, and thoughtful welcome amenities. After settling in, I explored the room in more detail and was impressed by how beautifully designed and inviting it felt. It reminded me of my favourite hotel, Glenmere Mansion.
With Relais & Châteaux, you can mostly expect exceptional dining, and Saint James did not disappoint. The restaurant delivered an outstanding culinary experience—I wouldn’t be surprised if it earns a Michelin star in the near future.
The service surpassed my expectations. The staff were genuinely kind, highly professional, and spoke excellent English. As with any hotel, much comes down to personal preference, and Saint James happened to align perfectly with mine. The complimentary high-speed internet was another welcome touch.
The facilities were equally impressive, including a well-equipped gym and numerous thoughtful details throughout the property. The ambiance was enhanced by carefully curated music, creating a serene and sophisticated atmosphere.
Overall, it was a fantastic stay. The rooms were exquisite, and the service was even better than anticipated. With its refined charm and outstanding attention to detail, Saint James is now a standout addition to the Relais & Châteaux family—and undoubtedly one of the finest hotel experiences in Paris.
Highly recommended.
