Avani+ Hua Hin Resort

Thailand is one of my favourite countries in the world. I visited the country for the first time, at the age of 17 and have since been back a number of times. Set between Hua Hin and Cha-Am, Avani+ Hua Hin Resort offers the kind of seaside stay that suits both slow holidays and easy weekend escapes. The resort sits along Petchkasem Road, close to the Gulf of Thailand, in an area long associated with beach breaks, royal history and a quieter alternative to Thailand’s busier coastal destinations.

The property has 196 rooms, suites and pool villas, giving guests several ways to experience the resort. Some rooms are designed for simple comfort, while others offer direct pool access, Jacuzzi features or the privacy of a villa with its own pool. This range makes the resort flexible enough for couples, families, groups and travellers who want a little more space than a standard hotel room.

What stands out most is the resort’s open, tropical layout. Rather than feeling like a compact city hotel, Avani+ Hua Hin is built around gardens, lawns, pools and lagoon-style water features. Guests can move easily between the swimming pools, the beachfront, the restaurants and the wellness areas. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, with plenty of space to spend the day outdoors.

Food is also a major part of the experience. The resort offers a mix of Thai and international dining, including beachfront meals and casual drinks by the water. Seafood, Western dishes, Indian food and local flavours are all part of the resort’s dining options, making it convenient for guests who prefer to stay on the property for most meals.

Avani+ Hua Hin is especially suitable for families. It has a kids’ club, children’s pool and activities for younger guests, while adults can use the fitness facilities, book treatments at AvaniWell or simply enjoy time by the sea. The resort also allows pets in selected accommodation categories, which is a practical advantage for travellers in Thailand who want to bring their animals along.

There is more to do than simply sit by the pool. The resort lists activities such as cooking classes, beach games, chess, pétanque, golf nearby, horse riding on the beach, sound healing and ice bath experiences. These options give guests a choice between light recreation, wellness and local-style holiday activities.

The resort is also equipped for meetings, weddings and private events. Indoor meeting rooms and outdoor beachfront spaces make it suitable for corporate groups, celebrations and destination weddings. With its coastal setting and full-service facilities, it works well for both leisure and organised gatherings.

Overall, Avani+ Hua Hin Resort is a modern, well-rounded beach resort with a strong focus on comfort, space and easy relaxation. Its main appeal lies in the combination of beachfront atmosphere, varied accommodation, family facilities, wellness options and convenient dining. For travellers looking for a polished but informal stay near Hua Hin, it offers a balanced mix of comfort, activity and coastal calm.
