Every Country in the World
At the age of 17, I set off alone to Egypt on my first major adventure. I began travel blogging in 2009 and have since collaborated with over 1,000 hotels and 100 airlines. I completed my journey to every country in the world before turning 28, with Eritrea as the final one.
I hitchhiked with hundreds of cars, took many cheap buses, stayed with local people, slept in public places, was creative in obtaining difficult visas and did many other things to reach the goal of visiting every country.
2,000+ Destinations
I have travelled over 4,000 days and visited more than 2,000 destinations, including every country recognised by the UN, the Olympic Committee, and FIFA, all continents, over 100 TCC-recognised territories, more than 400 islands, as well as many cities, towns, villages, and natural sights.
Lyme Disease and MCS
In 2019, I became very sick. After desperately trying numerous treatments and undergoing many tests, my condition worsened in 2021. I saw more than 40 specialists and even created a website about my health issues in a desperate attempt to get help. Eventually, I was tested for Lyme disease and hospitalised, but long-term infections are extremely difficult to treat.
So far, I’ve undergone hundreds of treatments, some in Germany, Kazakhstan, South Africa, and the US, and I expect to continue to do treatments for the rest of my life. My life has changed significantly, and I now also have Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), which causes many limitations in everyday life and travel.
