Nestled between a pristine private beach and lush gardens, Shangri-La Hotel, Qaryat Al Beri, Abu Dhabi, is a hotel of tranquillity in the heart of the Emirates. Elegantly appointed rooms offer beautiful views, while CHI, The Spa, pampers with signature treatments. Guest can explore the Khor Al Maqta Creek by Arabian gondola, or savour delectable cuisine at international restaurants.

While the hotel is conveniently located near the airport, golf course and city centre, its lush garden landscapes place it in a serene place.

Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.

My arrival experience: Warm, quick check-in before being escorted to the room.

What I liked: The service, especially at the Horizon Club.

What about the food: A good breakfast buffet and great food in the executive lounge.

What about the service: Professional and kind service from all staff at the front desk, Horizon Club and the spa.

What about the rooms: They have a Typical Shangri-La design. My room had a rainshower separated from the bathtub, a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a beautiful view from the balcony. The only thing I didn’t like was the smoke on my floor, as smoking is allowed in parts of the lobby area, close to the elevator.
