Hampton by Hilton Cluj-Napoca

In late 2018, I returned to Romania to do the Northwest region on Nomad Mania’s list of regions. Cluj-Napoca or simply Cluj is the second-most populous city in Romania. After a comfortable (and cheap) flight from Billund, Denmark, I arrived in Cluj-Napoca where I had selected Hampton by Hilton as the place to stay. I chose it as it’s smoke-free and I generally find that chain hotels are more likely to work well than if selecting a hotel entirely based on good reviews.

Hampton by Hilton turned out to be a good experience and a very comfortable hotel. I enjoyed the helpful service, the comfortable bed and a shower with good water pressure. Things worked just like I expected in a Hilton-managed hotel. Free WiFI and an excellent location make it easy to recommend as the place to stay in Cluj-Napoca. A city that exceeded my expectations and is well worth a visit. Especially putting the cheap flights by Wizzair into consideration.
