Fushifaru Maldives

Fushifaru Maldives is a stunning Maldivian-owned resort with beautiful villas, great service and good food. My reason for selecting Fushifaru was easy. Beautiful photos and great reviews, as of the time of writing this article it’s 9,2 of 10 on Booking.com and an impressive overall score of 5 out of 5 on Tripadvisor.

My experience at Fushifaru started with a seaplane journey, which when flying directly is set at approximately 35 minutes of expected travel time. warm welcome and check-in at the reception area before some of the staff escorted me to the villa. I stayed at a beautiful beach villa with a private swimming pool (photo above). It had a beautiful design, outdoor shower and outdoor freestanding bathtub. The food at Fushifaru was better than I expected. I have often been disappointed with the food at other Maldivian resorts, but here I was fully satisfied. The fresh local fish makes a difference in an otherwise difficult destination for fresh produce of many other products.

As mentioned earlier the resort has a high ranking on Booking.com, and it’s especially high for the staff category with an impressive 9,6/10. I was satisfied with the service and staff too, although I probably often see the best a property can do when doing these partnerships. The resort has 63 rooms (all villas) total and that makes a difference compared to the bigger resorts where you might experience waiting time at restaurants and receptions. The facilities include three restaurants, a pool, tennis court, gym, fitness centre and a bar.

Fushifaru is a truly great Maldivian experience. I was really impressed with the resort and can highly recommend it for anyone as a great choice when visiting the Maldives.
