The Waldorf Astoria Beijing, located in the heart of the bustling Wangfujing area, blends traditional Chinese architecture with luxurious modern amenities. Guests can indulge in opulent rooms, fine dining experiences, and serene spa treatments. With its central location near historic landmarks like the Forbidden City and vibrant shopping districts, the Waldorf Astoria Beijing is in a great location for exploring China’s capital city.

My arrival experience: Professional welcome from the American receptionist before being escorted to the room.

What I liked the most: The feeling of a well-managed hotel in all areas.

What about the food: Due to my early departure, I didn’t have a chance to try their breakfast. Instead, I had a great lunch at Brasserie 1893 with attentive service. The vegetables were good from the local market. It is an expensive restaurant, but the food is great, and you will forget that you are in China.

What about the service: It is attentive service at the restaurant. Mixed experience with the front desk. Some were top professionals like the American receptionist, while others could need more training.

What about the rooms: Beautiful modern rooms with comfortable beds, flatscreen TVs, separate sitting area and separate showers from the bathtub in the bathroom.

Number of rooms: 176.

Type of property: City hotel.

Location: Beijing, China.

Facilities include: A swimming pool, gym and spa.

Complimentary internet: Yes, which is unusual for hotels within the Hilton family. High speed as well.

My overall impression: Great experience.
