Villa Copenhagen

Located close to the Central Station of Copenhagen, Villa Copenhagen opened its doors in the summer of 2022. Villa Copenhagen has 390 hotel rooms and suites, gym, bar, a restaurant, and a relaxation area with a pool, and conference rooms.
My experience at Villa Copenhagen began with a quick check-in. Their lobby is beautiful with a contemporary design, lots of seats and a large bar. After the check-in, I took the elevator to the room. A beautiful modern room where things worked! Complimentary high-speed and a fantastic shower are two things you can expect at a hotel of this standard, but not all hotels get it right. Villa Copenhagen did. The room also had a large flatscreen TV and a ultra comfortable bed.
Villa Copenhagen’s location next to Hovedbanegården, the central station, is ideal for exploring Copenhagen by foot or you can easily travel to some of Denmark’s most impressive attractions by public transportation. In Hillerød you can find the Frederiksborg Castle, which is my favourite castle in Denmark. However, the most famous one is probably Kronborg Castle located in Helsingør, which you can also easily reach by public transportation.
Villa Copenhagen impressed in several ways. The gym had the best high-tech equipment I have seen in any hotel. I was also impressed by their large outdoor heated pool, where it was possible to have a comfortable swim, even in the month of March. Guest can book 30 minutes per day for free. It’s a fair limit as it is a big hotel with nearly 400 rooms.
I have stayed at many hotels in Denmark by now, and Villa Copenhagen did one of the best breakfast buffets. That included an egg station with a chef preparing egg dishes to your likings. Delicious breads of different kinds, nuts, good quality yugurt, salmon, and a number of hot dishes. The tea selection was impressed and I enjoyed some good cups during my stay. Breakfast is a great way to do one last impression on the guest before leaving, and Villa Copenhagen definitely did a great job. The service at breakfast was friendly and helpful, just like I experienced at check-in.
Villa Copenhagen has an impressive 8.5 ranking on Booking.com at the time of the publication of this article. They offer a great product at a lower price than some of the other top hotels in Copenhagen, probably mainly due to the bigger size of the hotel. Another thing that impressed me was the silence. They have done a great job with the isolation. I have often experienced high noise levels in hotels, especially in city hotels, but despite the central location, close to a busy road, the room noise level in the room was really quiet. I can’t speak for all rooms, but it might be a good idea to ask for a room not facing the street.
Villa Copenhagen is a unique hotel experience where things works. If you are looking to try something different in an excellent location but still like the high standards of a quality hotel chain, I can highly recommend Villa Copenhagen.
