Hotel Orfila, Madrid’s Relais & Châteaux Hotel

My Experience: A pleasure to be back at Madrid’s only Relais & Châteaux hotel for a third visit. It is probably the closest thing you get to a country hotel in Madrid with its garden and quiet feel. The location is amazing when you think about it. Great central location, but on a quiet street meaning you don’t have the high level of street noise that often comes with a central location in a city. The design is classical and old school which you find at many Relais & Châteaux-associated properties.

Relais & Châteaux is an organisation where a high quality of food is one of the values. In fact, ‘cuisine’ is one of the 5Cs of the organisation. Orfila’s fine dining restaurant delivered again on a level comparable with Michelin-starred restaurants and the waiter from the Dominican Republic delivered great service. Service is generally great in this hotel, and I would also like to send compliments to housekeeping for a clean room and good service. Overall, Orfila is a great experience and one of the highest-ranked properties in Madrid when it comes to guest satisfaction. If you, like me, enjoy Relais & Châteaux hotels, this is the ideal choice in Madrid.
