Dushanbe Serena Hotel

In Dushanbe, Tajikistan, the Dushanbe Serena Hotel offers a luxurious hotel for travellers. This 5-star hotel boasts modern rooms with stunning city or mountain views. Guests can unwind at the rooftop pool overlooking the cityscape or indulge in world-class cuisine at their restaurants, and experience Tajik hospitality amidst the hotel’s elegant setting, great for business or leisure travellers exploring Dushanbe’s cultural heart.

Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.

What I liked the most: The authentic feel and great rooms.

What about the food? The hotel offered me full board, but the buffet could have been better. Sheraton Dushanbe has much better food, but Serena is a more local and authentic experience.

What about the service? The service was better than the best hotels in many third world countries, but more training could improve the experience. Great English at the front desk, but the service level was probably better at the Serena hotels in Islamabad and Kabul.

What about the rooms? A typical Serena with classical authentic rooms. Very similar to their Kabul property. The rooms have beautifully designed beds. Separate shower from the bathtub and Penhaligon’s products in the bathroom. A plus for the complimentary non-alcoholic mini-bar.
