Angsana Laguna Phuket

Angsana Laguna Phuket, nestled along the pristine shores of Bang Tao Bay, offers a luxurious retreat with a blend of Thai charm and contemporary amenities. My arrival experience: Warm welcome with a drink and towel before being escorted to the room.

What about the food: They have very good Thai food, while their sister resort, Banyan Tree, down the road, unfortunately, has bad Western food. I would go all in on Thai food while staying at their resorts. The breakfast buffet lacked high-quality items but had a large selection of food.

What about the service: Very good service and professional front desk.

What about the rooms: Contemporary rooms with comfortable beds, shower in the bathtub and beautiful sea views from the balcony.

Facilities: A swimming pool, gym, and a beautiful Banyan Tree-quality spa. I had a great treatment with a welcome drink, a choice of oil, and excellent service. I really enjoyed it and recommend it.

My overall impression: Good+ experience. Angsana is part of the Banyan Tree family, and with 401 rooms, it is certainly a different kind of experience than the best Banyan Tree resorts I’ve experienced. It is less personalized and more family-oriented, but it has many of the same standards and a very nice design. Ranking it as Good+ is fair.
