Yyldyz Hotel Ashgabat

The Yyldyz Hotel Ashgabat is a beautiful luxury hotel in Turkmenistan’s capital. In one of the most special buildings I have stayed, Yyldyz delivered a special hotel experience with stunning rooms, friendly service in a unique destination.

Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.

My arrival experience: Was friendly, with a welcome and fast check-in.
What I loved: The building and the design.
What about the service: The service is better than I expected in a country like Turkmenistan. It is professional and kind but not comparable to 5-star hotels in Europe. An issue is the language barrier, and more training could improve the guest experience.
What about the rooms: They are Beautiful classical rooms comparable with many of the grand hotels we know in Europe. The bed is comfortable, and the internet is free and fast. The bathroom has a TV, a large bathtub, and Bulgari amenities.
The number of rooms: 155.
Type of property: City hotel.
Location: Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
Facilities: Spa, pool, gym and business/meeting facilities.
Complimentary internet: Yes, and it’s fast. However, several websites are blocked in Turkmenistan.
My overall impression: Great experience. Great to find this level of hotels in Turkmenistan and highly recommended as the best place to stay in the country.
