The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya
The Ritz-Carlton, Herzliya redefines luxury on the Israeli coast. This beachfront resort boasts stunning Mediterranean views from all 197 rooms and suites. You can dive into the rooftop pool, unwind at the world-class spa, or indulge in kosher fine dining. Here you can experience Herzliya’s charm and Tel Aviv’s proximity with legendary Ritz-Carlton service.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My arrival experience: The staff greeted me warmly before escorting me to the room.
What I liked the most: The unusual design.
What about the food? I am not a breakfast person, so I can’t comment on that, but my lunch and dinner at Herbert Samuel Restaurant were two of my best meals in the Middle East. Vegetarian-friendly as well.
What about the service: Professional service in all areas of the hotel. The restaurant staff is especially friendly.
What about the rooms? They are beautiful and contemporary, unlike any Ritz-Carlton hotel I have stayed in. The bedroom had a comfortable bed and working desk, while the bathroom had a rain shower, separate bathtub, and Asprey products. The only downside is the noise level, where I could hear people when lying down in the bed. I don’t know if it can be fixed, but I very much dislike it.
Number of rooms: 197.
Type of property: Something between a business hotel and a lifestyle hotel.
Location: Herzliya, Israel.
Facilities: Pool, spa, gym, and business/meeting facilities.
Complimentary internet: Yes, and fast.
My overall impression: Great+ experience. A beautiful hotel with great service and one level above most Ritz-Carlton hotels I have seen. The different design and excellent food make me rate it as a great hotel experience.
Vueling flies to Israel
Spanish low-cost carrier Vueling took me to Tel Aviv from their hub in Barcelona. Vueling flies to 155 destinations worldwide, including destinations like Banjul, where you probably wouldn’t expect a low-cost carrier to operate. Vueling.com
