Mercure Recife Navegantes Hotel

Mercure is a midscale French hotel brand run by Accor Hotels and has more than 700 3-4 star hotels in more than 60 countries. Mercure Recife Navegantes Hotel is one of Recife’s best hotels and a hotel that exceeded my expectations, mostly because of its TripAdvisor overall ranking of 3.5 out of 5 which is a surprise to me after having stayed here for four nights.

Travelling the world,  I always prefer to stay very comfortable, and in terms of comfort, this hotel delivers at a high level. I had two two-night stays at this hotel and tried two different rooms. Both are very comfortable with stunning sea views. The bed was comfortable, the design modern and with everything, I needed for a great stay. One of the things that could be improved is the amount of staff that speak English, but as far as I understand, only a few guests don’t understand Portuguese, so I understand this is not an important issue for the hotel.

The hotel is only approximately 50 metres from Praia Boa Viagem, a famous beach in Recife and I really liked the location. Despite being located in the big city of Recife, I did not have noise issues which are often the case when staying at hotels in big cities. I can highly recommend being on a high floor for stunning views. It was a lovely hotel to experience and it’s highly recommended as a great choice in the lovely city of Recife.
