Romantik Hotel Kieler Kaufmann

Romantik Hotel Kieler Kaufmann is part of the Romantik Hotels & Restaurants International group, which is known for offering high-quality accommodation. My experience at Romantik Hotel Kieler Kaufmann was limited to one night, but enough to have an opinion about the property. Located in the biggest city in Slesvig-Holstein by population, Kiel is the only state capital in Germany located on the sea.

Although the hotel is located in Kiel, the hotel has a country feel with a beautiful garden with surrounding trees. I arrived at the hotel and had an easy check-in before arriving at the room. A comfortable room with a nice wooden floor, shower, sink and complimentary Wi-Fi access. During my stay, I went to their wellness area which has an indoor swimming pool and sauna. The hotel also has a smaller fitness centre.

After my stay at Kieler Kaufmann, I stayed in the centre of Kiel for a night, and it’s just not my preference. Busy and noisy. I instead would very much prefer to stay at Kieler Kaufmann if staying overnight in Kiel. A short drive from the city centre, but with a relaxed holiday feel instead of a busy business feel. The breakfast was served in the morning with a large buffet, but I was fasting and couldn’t really rank it as I didn’t experience it.

Overall Kieler Kaufmann is a highly recommended hotel when visiting Kiel for people who like quiet relaxing hotels instead of busy hotels in city centres. The stay ended with kind service at the reception before leaving satisfied with my stay at Kieler Kaufmann.
