Infante Sagres – A SLH-member in Porto

Infante Sagres is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and has a great central location within a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Porto, approximately 1 kilometre from the Douro River.

The UNESCO World Heritage Site list is a great way to find extraordinary things to see and experience in this world, and staying at this hotel is an ideal choice for experiencing Porto while having a comfortable place to stay. Infante Sagres reopened its doors in April 2018 after extensive restoration and renovation. The hotel has 85 rooms on five floors. I stayed in a beautiful Deluxe Room with a rain shower, double sink, TV and a nice comfortable bed. On top of that, high-speed complimentary internet access and complimentary bottled water in the fridge.

The service at the property is professional at the front desk and as one would expect at a hotel of this standard. Friendly check-in and check out leaving me with a good last impression of the property. There are not many facilities at Infante Sagres, but surprisingly for a boutique hotel like this, there is an outdoor swimming pool with sun loungers. The stay ended with a good breakfast buffet and overall I am very satisfied with the stay. A comfortable smaller hotel with a great location for exploring the beautiful city of Porto by foot.
