Fairmont Maldives, Sirru Fen Fushi
Quick Introduction: Fairmont Maldives Sirru Fen Fushi opened in 2018 on a stunning Maldivian island as a 120-all-villa resort. Having stayed at some of their properties in the past, I arrived with high expectations.
What I Liked: The stunning island and my villa.
What About the Service? Great service, but not fantastic. Personalized butler service was great, but as expected in new resorts there are things to be improved to become fantastic. It wasn’t like staying at Soneva Fushi in terms of personalized service, but it would be interesting to see how they compare in a year from now.
What About the Food? Good food. Would probably rank it in the middle when it comes to food of the more than 50 private island resorts I’ve stayed in the Maldives, based on the meals I had. It’s hard to compare, and a new resort takes time. The service was good and attentive at the restaurant, and I was overall very satisfied with my experience here, but I think it will be a better experience month by month over the coming year. Also when it comes to food.
What About My Room: I stayed in a beautiful villa that featured an en-suite private bathroom with a double sink and separate shower. The room also had a Nespresso coffee machine, wine fridge, private outdoor bathtub, comfortable bed and a private outdoor pool.
