My Experience: This hotel is one of the best places to stay in Denmark. It is one of the few places in Jutland I would consider an experience. The rooms are comfortable with wonderful soft beds. My room even had a freestanding bathtub, while the shower could have been better. The reason to visit Molskroen is, however, the food. Together with Falsled Kro, Molskroen is the best dining experience I’ve had in Denmark without a Michelin star. Great food with ingredients following the season and a focus on local produce whenever possible.
The service is very friendly, and I enjoyed my short stay which ended with a great breakfast that even included organic yoghurt. I think Molskroen deserves to be at least recommended by the Michelin guide now that the guide for Denmark covers more than just Copenhagen. Molskroen would also be a great fit for Relais & Châteaux of which I am a big fan. If you are looking for such experiences on a trip to Denmark, Molskroen is highly recommended. Finally, it might be worth noting the very fast Wi-Fi connection which often not is the case when staying at even great hotels in the countryside.
Duration of Stay/Visit: One night.
My Opinion: Great experience.
