InterContinental Dubai Festival City
InterContinental is IHG’s top brand, and most of their hotels are up to a high standard. One of them is InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Based on research it looked like a great business hotel, so I decided to try it for my project. I arrived at the hotel, and they escorted me to my suite. I stayed in a Creek Suite, and it was great. It was very large with a contemporary design, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. I’ve seen it all before, but it was a very comfortable suite. The room also had flowers, welcome snacks and chocolates.
With 498 rooms I did not expect personalised service. It’s a business hotel with big B. The staff is well-trained, professional and friendly, but the service is like you would expect it to be in a business hotel without the extra touches which businesspeople don’t need anyway. The facilities is great as you would expect in a business hotel and the club lounge is one of the better ones I’ve seen.Overall this must be one of the best InterContinentals in the world.

One such property is the InterContinental Dubai Festival City. Based on my research, it appeared to be an excellent business hotel, which made it an ideal choice for my project. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed and escorted directly to my suite.
I stayed in a Creek Suite, which was excellent: very spacious, contemporary in design, and extremely comfortable. The bed was particularly good, and the bathroom was well-appointed and modern. While the overall style is something I have seen before in many high-end business hotels, it was executed very well and felt polished and functional rather than generic. The room also included flowers, welcome snacks, and chocolates, which added a pleasant touch.
The hotel itself is large, with 498 rooms, and is clearly designed with business travelers in mind. It is connected to Dubai Festival City Mall and located close to Dubai International Airport, making it highly convenient for both short stays and longer business trips. The hotel also benefits from views over Dubai Creek and the city skyline, which adds a sense of place to what could otherwise feel like a purely corporate environment.
The facilities are exactly what you would expect from a high-end business hotel. There is a large, well-equipped gym, a pleasant outdoor pool area, and several restaurants offering a variety of international dining options suitable for both business meetings and casual meals. The Club InterContinental lounge is one of the better ones I have experienced, offering a good selection of food and drinks throughout the day, along with a calm environment ideal for working or relaxing.
Given the size of the hotel, I did not expect highly personalised service. The staff are well-trained, professional, and friendly, but the service is efficient rather than intimate—very much in line with what business travelers typically require. Overall, this is one of the best InterContinental hotels in the world. If you are looking for a high-quality business hotel in Dubai with excellent facilities and reliable service, this is a great choice.
